Researchers studied evapotranspiration in a peatland in Shennongjia by collecting data from 2016 to 2017. They used the FAO56 Penman-Monteith equation to estimate crop coefficient values. Factors like net radiation and air temperature influenced evapotranspiration. The crop coefficient for the wetland dominated by Sphagnum ranged from 0.92 to 1.03, showing effectiveness. These findings can be applied to research on climate change, ecosystem services, and water management in peatlands.
