Business networks drive sustainability adoption in wineries, influenced by regional density.
The study looked at how being part of a business network, the density of the region, and customer interactions affect wineries' adoption of sustainability practices. They collected data from 311 wineries in Oregon and found that being in a business network increases the likelihood of adopting sustainability programs. Wineries in less crowded areas are also more likely to adopt sustainability initiatives. Interestingly, wineries in densely populated regions benefit more from being in business networks. Additionally, wineries with more ways to interact with customers are more likely to adopt sustainability practices.
