The goal of the study was to make biodiesel from soya bean oil and test its properties. The researchers mixed the oil with methanol and a catalyst to create biodiesel. They then separated out glycerol, purified the biodiesel with water, and measured its density, viscosity, and other characteristics. The results showed that biodiesel made from soya bean oil can be a good alternative to regular diesel, as it produces fewer emissions, is renewable, and is easy to make.
