Increased rainfall intensity leads to higher erosion damage on slopes.
The study looked at how different levels of rainfall intensity affect runoff and sediment on slopes. They used simulated rainfall to test this. The results showed that as rainfall intensity increased, runoff and sediment yield also increased. The erosion on the slope was mainly caused by splash and sheet erosion. A significant portion of the slope area experienced severe erosion. Overall, higher rainfall intensity led to more runoff and sediment, causing more erosion damage on the slope.
