The article sets out a roadmap for ethical guidelines in qualitative migration research. It explores the unique ethical challenges faced by migration scholars and emphasizes the need for a critical ethical awareness throughout the research process. The study finds that standardized guidelines may not be sufficient due to the complex nature of migration research. It suggests that researchers should develop an "ethical radar" to navigate ethical dilemmas effectively. Additionally, the article highlights the importance of integrating ethical consciousness into research education from the beginning of a researcher's career.
