Toxic Lakes in Bali Threaten Drinking Water and Tourism
The study looked at the water quality of Buyan Lake and Tamblingan Lake in Bali. They checked physical, chemical, and biological factors to see if the water was clean. Results showed that some parameters in both lakes were above safe levels, like organic contaminants. This means the water is not safe to drink or swim in. High levels of contaminants were found, especially in Tamblingan Lake. The study suggests that pollution from tourism and development may be affecting the lakes' water quality.
