Winds of Change: China's Shifting Climate Patterns Reshape Lives
Wind speed in the Jing-Jin-Ji region of China varied over time from 1961 to 2017. It first decreased from 1961 to 1991, then increased from 1992 to 2017. The highest wind speeds were in spring, followed by winter, summer, and autumn. Most of the wind speeds were between 1-5 m/s. The changes in wind speed were linked to temperature, atmospheric pressure, elevation, and underlying surface conditions.
