The article looked into how trade agreements affected Jordan's trade with other countries. They used a model to check if the agreements caused more trade with some countries or less with others. They studied data from 1997 to 2017 involving 125 countries. The results suggested that Jordan's trade is influenced by its GDP, partners' GDP, distance, language, and borders. They found that the agreement with the EU led to more imports and fewer exports, while the one with the USA saw fewer imports and more exports outside the region. The agreement with GAFTA helped boost both imports and exports.
