New Fish Search Optimization Boosts Solar Panel Efficiency to 97.8%
A new technique called Fish Search Optimization (FSO) has been developed to improve the efficiency of Photovoltaic panels. By using this method, the system can extract maximum power from the panels under various conditions like temperature and shading. The FSO technique involves using six samples of maximum power as "fishes" to calculate the best duty cycle for tracking. Additionally, a boost converter is designed for load matching operation. The system's efficiency using this novel technique has been found to be 97.8%.
