The study looked at how different levels of water and fertilizer affected the growth and yield of watermelon plants. They tested three levels of fertilizer and two levels of water on watermelon plants in Kerala. The longer the vines, the more water and fertilizer they got. More water led to bigger watermelons. The best yield came from using 100% of the recommended fertilizer amount. More water also meant more fruit per plant and higher yields. The weight of the fruit and time to first harvest were not affected by the water and fertilizer levels.
