Revolutionary grazing strategy boosts forage peanut production for sustainable pastures
The study looked at how to manage forage peanut plants in pastures by rotating grazing. They tested different ways of grazing, like how often and how much to cut the plants. They found that forage peanut can handle grazing well, and the best times for plant growth were in the summer. It didn't matter much if they cut the plants at 95% or maximum canopy light interception. The plants grew best when they were cut to a height between 40% and 60% of their original height. So, forage peanut can be grazed in a flexible way, with recommended cutting heights between 13 and 18 cm.
