Altitude influences plant diversity in Sudan's Jebel ElDair region.
The researchers studied how different types of plants change as you go up a mountain in Sudan. They looked at 47 plant species in three different areas on the mountain. They found that the area higher up had more types of plants and more plants overall compared to the lower areas. The highest area had the most diversity and richness of plant species.
