Personality traits impact emotional intelligence differently in male and female college students.
The research looked at how personality traits affect emotional intelligence in college students. They studied 100 students, split evenly between males and females aged 18-22. The results showed that extraversion and conscientiousness were linked to emotional intelligence in males, while in females, extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness were connected. Neuroticism and openness to experience didn't show a correlation with emotional intelligence in either gender. Overall, except for conscientiousness, there were no significant differences in how personality traits impacted emotional intelligence between male and female college students.
