New car AC system cuts emissions, saves energy, and cools efficiently.
A new car air-conditioning system using a single-effect lithium bromide absorption chiller/heater has been developed. This system uses parts of the car's engine to generate cooling and heating, replacing traditional refrigeration and heating systems. The new system eliminates the high greenhouse effect caused by R134a in car air-conditioning while saving energy. This simple and compact system shows promise for future car air-conditioning development.
