The article explores how design education in schools and engineering programs are becoming more aligned in teaching students how to think like designers. It discusses the nature of design education in schools and engineering, and presents two curriculum initiatives that focus on teaching students how to design and make products. The paper suggests that design education in engineering may be a continuous process.
