The article compares trust in the government and support for the EU in Germany and Romania. By looking at data from 2009, 2015, and 2018, the researchers found that people who trust their government are more likely to support the EU in both countries. Interestingly, trust in the government is a stronger predictor of EU support in Germany than in Romania. This study helps us understand how people's attitudes towards their national government can influence their views on the European Union.
