Climate change impact accurately predicted for West Iran using innovative downscaling model.
Climate change impacts in the West of Iran were assessed using a model called SDSM. The model downscaled large-scale climate scenarios to a finer scale to better understand local impacts. The study found that the SDSM model accurately represented minimum and maximum temperatures, although precipitation was slightly under-estimated. Overall, the model was able to produce similar climate trends for the future period of 2041-2069.
