Soil erosion wreaks havoc on agriculture, water quality, and ecosystems.
Soil erosion is a big problem that damages farmland and reduces crop productivity. This review looked at different studies to understand how soil erosion affects agriculture and water quality. It found that erosion can harm agricultural land, buildings, and water ecosystems. Sediment from erosion can clog up rivers and affect bridges and water treatment plants. The review suggests improving current erosion control methods, developing new strategies, training farmers on best practices, and getting government and NGOs involved in managing soil erosion.
