Kosovan Wastewater Plant Exceeds EU Standards, Safeguarding Public Health and Environment
The Skenderaj Wastewater Treatment Plant in Kosova was evaluated to see how well it cleans wastewater before releasing it into a river. Samples were collected and tested for various parameters like temperature, pH, and levels of pollutants. The results showed that the plant effectively removed 98.47% of BOD5, 78.66% of TSS, and 32.64% of COD from the wastewater. The final effluent met the standards set by the European Union and the World Health Organization, ensuring that the discharged water is safe for the environment and public health.
