Australia Heats Up 1.5°C, Outpacing Global Warming by 40%
The Earth has warmed by 1.5 °C since 1850, with Australia's increase higher at 1.4 times the global average. Recent climate models suggest a lower ratio of warming in Australia compared to real-world observations, possibly due to model errors or natural climate variations. This study compared historical data from 1860 onwards with the latest climate simulations to investigate past and future warming trends in Australia in light of global temperature goals set by the Paris Agreement.
