The article discusses how to make better use of farmland in the Raiymbek region of Almaty Oblast. It looks at changes in agricultural land from 2011 to 2018 and why soil fertility isn't improving. The study compares rainfed and irrigated farmland and shows who owns the land in the region. It also examines why land is being taken out of agricultural use. The researchers studied the irrigation system and made suggestions for better use of irrigated land. They identified the best ways to use farmland in the area.
