The article introduces CAD-Deform, a method that improves the accuracy of fitting CAD models to 3D scans by deforming the CAD models. This new approach creates more precise digital replicas of real-world environments while maintaining the quality of the CAD objects. The method achieves tighter fits between scans and CAD models, resulting in more accurate representations of the scanned environment with preserved geometric features.
