Krasnodar's Farmlands Dwindling, Threatening Regional Food Security
The article looks at the condition of farmland in the Krasnodar region, focusing on its makeup and organization. It identifies trends and reasons for changing farmland to other types of land and back again. The study shows that there are issues with how land is being used, like not having enough current information on who owns and manages the land. Another problem is that some valuable farmland is being used in less productive ways, which harms the soil and crops. The analysis used data from official sources to look at the years 2014 to 2018. The findings suggest ways to improve how farmland is used in the region and create better land policies.
