The article discusses different methods used to find faults in cables and connectors in the electrical and telecommunication industry. It talks about traditional time-domain reflectometry (TDR) and its limitations, as well as a newer method called electro optical terahertz pulse reflectometry (EOTPR) which has become popular due to its high-frequency impulse signal. The article also introduces a combo method that combines impulse signals and the TDT concept. Case studies and application notes are shared for each technique, and the benefits and limitations of TDR, EOTPR, and the combo method are compared.
