Core strength training boosts young male cyclist performance significantly!
Adding core strength training to a young male cyclist's routine for 8 weeks can significantly improve core muscle strength. In this study, six junior cyclists did 5 core exercises per session, 3 times a week, for a total of 24 sessions. Each exercise was done for 20 repetitions in 3 sets. After the training period, the cyclists showed a noticeable increase in core muscle strength. Coaches should consider including core strengthening exercises in their training programs for better performance.
