Document summarization is a way to shorten long texts by picking out the most important sentences. In this project, the researchers used a method called Latent Dirichlet Allocation to summarize CNN News articles. By identifying key topics and selecting sentences with the most important words, they were able to create concise summaries. This approach saves time and helps people quickly understand the main points of a document. The researchers found that their method worked well and could be further improved to create more human-like summaries in the future.
