The article shows that the design science framework for Information Systems Research has been tested in a real-world project. The researchers collected data over three years and found strengths in connecting the environment with IT design and testing, but weaknesses in balancing theory and practice contributions. This study suggests that improvements can be made to design science research methods based on these findings.
