Climate change boosts vegetation growth in Yellow River source region.
The study looked at how plant growth in the Yellow River source region changed from 1998 to 2016 in response to climate changes. They found that plant growth increased slightly over the years, with most of the area showing an upward trend. The region also became warmer and wetter during the growing season, with both temperature and precipitation going up. Plant growth was positively linked to both temperature and precipitation, with temperature having a stronger effect. Human activities had a negative impact on plant growth in over half of the area, but efforts to protect the environment led to an increase in plant growth after 2005.
