Indonesia's Untapped Biomass Treasure: Powering a Sustainable Energy Future
Indonesia wants to decrease its use of fossil fuels and increase renewable energy like biomass. Currently, they rely too much on fossil fuels, which harms the environment and economy. The government aims to create a better mix of energy sources by using more renewable options like biomass. Indonesia has lots of biomass but isn't utilizing it well. While other countries, such as Korea, are using Indonesia's biomass, Indonesia isn't using it enough. The focus so far has been on liquid biofuels from palm oil, but solid biomass energy development needs attention too. This paper suggests ways for Indonesia to increase its use of biomass for energy to support the country's development.
