The study estimated greenhouse gas emissions from Hanwoo cattle manure management in Korea. Methane and nitrous oxide emissions were measured in cattle barns and composting lots over 52 weeks. The results showed that emissions from Hanwoo manure management were higher than those reported in other countries. This highlights the need for country-specific inventories to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the livestock sector in Korea.
