Apartment Layouts Optimized for Daylight in Dense Cities, Improving Livability
This study aimed to help city planners design apartment buildings that get enough natural light inside. They used a computer program to check complex rules about building shadows in Korean cities, where tall buildings crowd close together. By running simulations and using smart computer tools, they found better ways to arrange apartments for more sunlight. Their approach can help architects in crowded cities make sustainable designs that are better for people and the environment.
