New Study Reveals Factors Impacting Efficiency of 1000 MW Power Units
The researchers used simulation software to study how controlling the reheat steam temperature affects gas recirculation in a power plant. They found that increasing the intermediate temperature reduces gas recirculation, especially at low loads. Coal quality, excess air, and feed water temperature also impact gas recirculation. Lower quality coal and higher excess air decrease gas recirculation. The results show that these factors influence the efficiency of the power plant's reheat system.
