New corn hybrids boost yields in Mexico's High Valleys, revolutionizing agriculture.
Corn is a crucial crop in Mexico, and researchers studied different corn hybrids to find the best plant density for optimal grain yield. They tested six hybrids and three plant densities, finding that the Tsíri PUMA hybrid had the highest yield at 5856 kg/ha. The environment also played a significant role, with CEVAMEX showing the best results. Interestingly, the plant density did not affect the hybrid performance, but a density of 65,000 plants/ha was recommended for best results.
