Beach erosion is a big problem for Caribbean islands, especially for tourism. Instead of costly solutions like seawalls, researchers are now focusing on beach setbacks as a long-term fix. They developed a tool called BAMS to help plan and manage these setbacks. By studying St. Kitts, they found that using scientific data can improve the design and implementation of beach setbacks in Caribbean Small Islands.
