The article discusses the concept of an economic and ecological mechanism for the development of agricultural enterprises. It analyzes the essential elements of this mechanism and how it relates to the environmental factors affecting agricultural development. The researchers identified specific features of the economic mechanism for agricultural development, considering the interdependence of economic and ecological factors. They proposed criteria for an effective mechanism, including cost efficiency, fair distribution of costs, administrative implementation, institutional compliance, and a combination of ecological regulation methods.
