The goal of the research was to see how solar and wind power could help solve Nigeria's electricity shortage. The researchers found that solar panels could generate up to 12,000MW of electricity, while wind turbines could produce up to 11,000MW. They also discovered that using solar power was slightly cheaper than using wind power.
