The research aims to understand how cost performance affects high-rise building projects in Malaysia. By analyzing factors that lead to cost overruns, the study will identify which building elements contribute significantly to total construction costs. The longer the project development phase, the more likely cost overruns are to occur. A questionnaire will be used to collect data from 15 contractors to further investigate this issue.
