Guava Farmers Rejoice: Nutrient Combo Boosts Fruit Sugar Levels, Enhancing Taste and Marketability
Foliar application of certain nutrients on Guava trees can improve the quality of the fruit. A study tested different nutrient combinations on Guava cv. Allahabad Safeda and found that applying a mix of Zn, Mg, Mn, Cu, Fe, and MAP led to the highest levels of reducing and non-reducing sugars, total sugar, and sugar to acid ratio in the fruit. This means that by using the right nutrients, Guava fruits can have better taste and nutritional value.
