Insulation trumps wall material in optimizing window-to-wall ratio for energy efficiency
The study looked at how the size of windows compared to walls affects how much heat is lost or gained in buildings in Elazığ, Turkey. They tested different wall materials like concrete and bricks. Results showed that in walls without insulation, the type of material affected how much heat was gained or lost through the windows. But in insulated walls, the material didn't make much of a difference.
