Chickpea farmers rejoice: Optimal sowing date boosts yields by 33%
The study tested different planting dates for chickpeas to see which gave the best yield. They planted on October 24, November 13, and December 3, using three kinds of chickpeas. The research focused on how much chickpeas grew and what they produced. October 24 had the highest yield of 1631 kg per hectare with different types of chickpeas, while December 3 had the lowest yield of 1220 kg per hectare with different chickpea types. This means the time of planting really matters for how much chickpeas can grow and be harvested. So, planting at the right time is important for getting good chickpea harvests.
