SRI method boosts rice yield and profits with optimal nitrogen levels
A study was conducted to find the best way to grow rice and how much nitrogen to use for higher yields. They compared different methods of planting rice and different levels of nitrogen. The results showed that the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method with 160 kg of nitrogen per hectare gave the highest grain and straw yield, as well as the most economic return. This method also had the highest nitrogen uptake in the rice plants. Overall, using the SRI method with the right amount of nitrogen can help farmers grow more rice and make more money.
