Sustainable rice farming methods boost yields and morphological parameters significantly
A study looked at how different ways of planting rice and managing irrigation affect the growth and yield of rice plants. They tested three planting methods (transplanted, direct seeded, and system of rice intensification) and four irrigation practices. The system of rice intensification method showed the best results for plant growth, while direct seeding had the lowest. The irrigation practice of alternate wetting and drying led to higher yields compared to other methods. Overall, the system of rice intensification with alternate wetting and drying irrigation had the highest grain and straw yields.
