The article discusses a new approach to designing a system that can answer fact-based questions using Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology. NLP helps process different types of data like text, video, image, or audio, and is a part of artificial intelligence. The system uses Lexical Chain and Keyword analysis to find answers from a set of articles, and a reasoning system to validate the answers. The researchers tested the system on a dataset and found that it accurately retrieved passages 69.69% of the time, with an overall correct prediction rate of 69.93%.
