Conventional transplanting boosts rice yield by 22.76% over drum seeding.
Researchers studied different ways of planting and fertilizing rice to see how it affects growth and yield. They tried four planting methods and three fertilizer treatments. The traditional way of planting rice gave the highest grain yield, while using a certain type of fertilizer also increased yield. Overall, planting rice in the usual way and using a specific fertilizer led to the best results in terms of plant height, number of leaves, tillers, dry matter, panicles, filled grains, and overall grain and straw yield.
