Optimizing nitrogen and sulphur levels boosts Indian mustard yields and profits.
The researchers studied how different levels of nitrogen and sulphur affected the growth and yield of Indian mustard plants in western UP. They found that using 120 kg of nitrogen per hectare and 40 kg of sulphur per hectare resulted in the highest plant growth, seed production, and oil yield. These levels also gave the best economic returns compared to other nitrogen and sulphur levels tested. In conclusion, applying 120 kg of nitrogen and 40 kg of sulphur per hectare is the most effective way to get higher yields and profits from Indian mustard crops in this region.
