FYM boosts wheat yield by 18.7% - revolutionizing farming practices!
The study looked at how adding gypsum and farmyard manure (FYM) along with different levels of fertilizer affected wheat production. They found that using FYM at 5 tons per hectare led to significantly higher grain and straw yields compared to no FYM. Applying 125% of the recommended fertilizer dose gave similar results to 100% but was better than 75% and 50%. In both years, using higher levels of fertilizer resulted in around 7-18% higher grain yield and 5-13% higher straw yield compared to lower levels.
