River pollution is a big issue in many countries, including Indonesia. The Cipeusing River in West Java is highly polluted and needed to be analyzed using the Pollution Index method. The study found that the pollution levels in the river increased from 2016 to 2017. In 2016, the river was moderately polluted, but in 2017, it became severely polluted, especially in the downstream area. Efforts are needed to control the pollution levels in the Cipeusing River.
