Revolutionary solar system boosts efficiency, doubles high-energy photon utilization.
A new system has been developed to make better use of solar energy by efficiently capturing high-energy photons. This system combines photochemical, photovoltaic, and thermochemical processes to utilize the full spectrum of solar radiation. By recycling unused energy and converting it into heat for other processes, the system reduces energy losses and increases overall efficiency. Compared to traditional systems, this new approach significantly improves the utilization of high-energy photons, resulting in a solar utilization efficiency increase from 44.01% to 66.95%. This means more solar energy can be harnessed effectively, making the system more efficient and sustainable.
