University Librarians in Sri Lanka Boost Research Impact with Mixed Metrics!
The article analyzed articles published in a Sri Lankan journal from 2005 to 2019 to improve research in library science. They looked at authorship, citations, subjects, and visualized connections. Most articles were written by a single author, but collaboration increased over time. The University of Peradeniya was the top contributor, and specific core journals were identified. The researchers used MS Excel, SPSS, and VOS viewer for analysis. The study aims to identify areas for improvement in library science research in Sri Lanka and suggests using altmetric tools for open access journals.
