The study looked at different types of Indian mustard plants to see how they vary in seed yield and related traits. They found that there is a lot of genetic diversity among the plants they studied. Some traits, like seed yield per plant and number of branches, showed more variation than others. Certain traits, like days to flowering and 1000 seed weight, are strongly influenced by genetics. The number of days it takes for the plant to flower has the biggest impact on seed yield, followed by the number of seed pods on the main branch. To improve seed yield, focusing on increasing the number of seed pods on the main branch, total number of seed pods, length of seed pods, and seed weight could be helpful.
